There are not many options for a trundle mattress, especially for the Maxtrix beds. I tried another mattress first but it didn't fit. The mattress came folded in thirds and took several weeks to flatten out. The seller did offer to replace the item. The mattress is thin - which it needs to be and decent as far as comfort goes. It is not waterproof so I had to put a cover on it for my 3 yr old. Because of the special size of this trundle mattress I am not able to find a waterproof cover or sheets that fir the mattress well. My bed always looks like a saggy mess. Maxtrix doesn't even make a sheet/cover to fit their own mattress! I hate how it looks, but it does the job.
