We bought this train table for our son last year. The table is beautifully painted and the storage drawer actually holds quite a lot in the way of tracks and trains. The table itself was easy to assemble and is sturdy and well-made.
The under-the-bed table is a great idea in theory, but for us, not in practice. I purchased this table because I had hoped to store it under my son's bed each night and when not in use. Instead, it ended up "living" in the middle of our family room.
The table itself slides under a toddler or twin bed easily enough, but only if there is nothing on the table at all (except maybe the track alone, flat on the table). Trains and accessories do not fit, so the layout must be disassembled and stored in order to slide the table under the bed.
The second thing I have observed is that my now 3 1/2 year old seems to prefer playing at the stand-up train tables because he can manuever more easily around them and is able to better reach the center of the table. With this particular table, he ends up climbing and/or sitting on it to access the center, and he has to scoot around the table on his knees (as opposed to easily walking around it) to push and play with his trains.
All in all we like the table, but given the chance to purchase it again I would buy the regular "stand-up" type and use bins as storage underneath the table.

I loved this until I noticed that there is only one drawer for storing tracks & trains. It looks like if they put a thin piece of plywood under it you could use all that other space to store more. For $220 it should be able to store a lot more.

I purchased the Thomas Under-the-Bed Trundle Playtable last Christmas for my two and a half year old. It's gorgeous and initially loved it!! But not even a year later, it's falling apart, and quite frankly, my son hasn't played with it all that much.
The front of the storage drawer won't stay on and every time I go to stick it back on, I have to take everything out of the drawer, place the front of the drawer back on the little pegs, return all of the stuff back to the drawer, and just hope that my son doesn't go to open it anytime soon for fear of having to repeat this annoying process.
Also, I read an earlier review in which a lady thought that her 3-year-old enjoyed actual train tables (the ones with legs) better because he could maneuver himself around them more easily. I agree completely. In fact, my son is always climbing on top of the table to get to things because it's easier for him than crawling around it. Because of this, the wheels are completely broken and unfixable.
My favorite thing about this table, however, is that I can push it under the bed for storage. I can't imagine how annoying it would be to have it constantly in my way as it is quite large. But keep in mind the amount of space you have under your child's bed. I knew there was plenty of space under my son's bed before I bought it. I think I would have lost my mind if I had put it together only to find it was too tall to fit underneath!! Except for the space issue, I would have gone for the regular train table if I had it to do over.
